As a wife, I have experienced first hand the pressure that can come with planning every little detail of a wedding day. I have felt the full (but exhausted) heart as a new mother, and now that I have two little wild boys running around, I feel like I'm going to pull my hair out most days... haha! But that's why it is my mission to make you and those you love comfortable and true to yourselves, all while documenting some of the most treasured days of your life.
No matter if it is a family session, newborn session, or 12-hour wedding day with all of your crazy family,
I'm here for it.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME....
My husband, Brandon, and I have been together 7 years and have been blessed with two sweet boys, Hudson and Hayes. We were married in January of 2019 in the middle of a snow storm, and we served all of our favorite foods, (including pizza rolls) for dinner. It was the best, most chaotic day ever! We are also proud fur parents to our golden doodle named Oliver, our chocolate lab named Raider, and two kitties named Dwight K Schrute and Mose.
I graduated from Southern Illinois University in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Integrated Marketing, but picked up photography in 2011 to fill an elective for my associates. 10 years later, I have my own business, which seems crazy to say! I tried so hard to be a 9-5 person, and I felt guilty that I wasn’t. I slowly began to learn to embrace who I was, took a leap of faith, and here I am. Now, I am more of a 10:00am to 11:00pm kind of person, weaving my work in and out of naps, bottles, laundry and playtime.
A little bit about me - I am a HUGE Office fan and my child was Dwight K Schrute for his 1st Halloween. Coffee is my fuel and messy buns are my jam. Black is my favorite color. I have a slight addiction to sweets, Target and Amazon Prime. I love home décor and design. I am constantly Pinterest-ing plans for my next project. If I were to describe my style, it would be a love for mid-century modern with a touch of eclectic. I enjoy making lists. There is something so relaxing about getting my ideas and thoughts written on paper and crossing them off one by one.
I'm working really hard to become a morning person.. Naturally, I am not. I love any and all animals. I trap spiders and let them go outside and I'll always save a drowning bug from the pool. I love Jesus and thank him daily for this beautiful life he’s blessed me with and the gift to document life for others. I like to overuse emojis and exclamation points. Sometimes I like to workout, sometimes I like to eat a family order of cheese sticks from Pizza Hut. I fangirl over Taylor Swift, John Mayer, Ed Sheeran and Vance Joy. I am a former cheerleader/gymnast, as it was a huge part of my life growing up and is still close to my heart. I can still do a back handspring on the tumble track, even if I can't get out of bed the next day. I struggle with spelling, math and doing the dishes.
I absolutely adore my job and my clients. Sometimes it doesn't seem real. I get to photograph beautiful families, weddings, births, children growing and changing, proposals... so many important moments tucked away in those images. I love my families and couples like they were my own and I am just so grateful for them.
